If you are reading this now, I want to tell you something... I want you to know that no matter whom you are, or what you do, or what your circumstances in life are - you were born to be successful.
Each and every one of us is given gifts and talents to use at certain times of our lives for the purpose of good. When we are successful, we allow these gifts to be used to let other people also shine and to be successful in their lives.
The biggest challenge for most people is that they are so busy just making ends meet, that they never get time to develop and nurture their talents and gifts. The first step to becoming successful in any area of life is to stop and take a short break from your daily grind, and take some quiet time out for reflection.
Consider what it is you really enjoy doing. What do you love to do so much that you lose track of time when you do it? What is it that excites you? What gets you up early in the morning and keeps you up late at night. What could you enjoy doing for the rest of your life, if you knew you couldn't fail?
Once you take some time out of the "busy-ness" of life, you can start to tap into your own gifts and talents and discover where you can let your light shine and become more successful then you previously thought possible.
After you have taken the time to discover your talents and gifts, the next step is to dream big dreams. Most people settle for way less than what they are truly capable of in life, just because they dream small dreams. Never limit yourself on what you can achieve in life. Better to dream big and fall short of some your dreams and ambitions, then to hit all your targets because they were small, easy to hit and low risk. In life, just like in the sporting world or the investment world, low risk means low rewards and lower returns.
If you want to live a life of positive influence to those you care about, if you desire better relationships with your loved ones, if you dream of travelling to the corners of the globe helping people less fortunate then yourself, if you dream of your own home by the beach or a red sports convertible, you will need to dream big dreams!
Champions are champions because they dare to dream big dreams. You can be leaping through life when you dream big dreams. It is time you wake up and dream. Use your talents and gifts to create dreams for your life. Your mind is like a super computer and you need to program it for success.
When you take time out of your busy life to discover your talents, and then you start to dream about how you can use these talents to be a positive influence in life, your next step is to create a game plan.
Grand Final football or sporting teams never win the big events without a game plan. What plans do you have for your life? What plans do you have for your relationships, your health, or your prosperity? When you discover your gifts and you dream big dreams, the next step is to commence your personal game plan.
What tactics and actions do you have to move towards your dreams? Do you need to make that phone call? Do you need to change something in your life? Do you need to acquire some new skills? Do you need more education? Do you need coaching or a mentor to be leaping through life?
Life is not a dress rehearsal. We are on this planet for such a short time, we need to make the most of the life we have been given. We are called to be successful so we can allow others to shine and also be successful. Start today.
Having coached hundreds of people of the last two decades, I see common traits and characteristics become evident in those people who excel in their chosen fields. They discover their talents. They dream big dreams. They create a game plan. When you can learn to follow these three simple, but highly effective coaching strategies, you will know that you are called to be successful!
